Ways to Contribute

Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association’s Tax ID Number is 42-1343360.

Unrestricted Contributions

Gifts in any amount may be made at any time via cash or check. You can also donate via credit card or PayPal by clicking the “Donate Now” button above. Contact the Foundation office if you’d like to make a monthly recurring gift from your checking or savings account.

Designated Contributions

You may make a contribution to one of the Foundation’s many scholarships or district education funds, or designate your gift to almost any Marion Independent School District group, program or project. For credit card or PayPal donations, designations can be made by noting them when completing the payment information.

Endowed Funds

Endowed funds can be established with the purpose of benefiting any number of district programs or groups. For longevity of the fund, we ask initial contributions be $10,000 or more. Funds intended for college scholarships can be established with an initial contribution of $20,000 or more. Investment returns will be used annually to support students or programs. The fund can be named after an individual, family, business, organization, or to honor or memorialize another individual.

Planned Giving

We work with individual donors and families to establish charitable gifts that will impact Marion students, teachers and the community. You may be surprised how easy it is, plus, many giving plans have considerable tax benefits. Discussing your plans and having information on file with the Foundation office will ensure clarity regarding designations. Visit the Enhancement Funds area of our website to learn more about some of the projects that have been funded through planned giving.

Will Bequest
Leave a legacy in the Marion community by naming the Foundation in your will. Unrestricted gifts of this kind can be adapted to student and district needs over time with guidance from the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Gifts can also be designated to serve a specific program or curriculum area.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Receive immediate tax benefits while retaining a stream of income for you or other beneficiaries.
