Create a legacy by establishing a named-fund to honor an individual, family or organization. Funds are invested for long-term benefit, supporting projects and programs year after year that impact students, teachers and the community.
Endowed funds that support initiatives in the Marion Independent School District can be established with a minimum $10,000 donation. The variety of projects or programs deserving of funding are endless. A visit with Foundation Director Erin Steffen is encouraged. Endowed scholarship funds can be established with an initial contribution of $20,000. Contact Erin at (319) 377-4691 x1110 for more information.
You may be surprised how easy it is to plan for a charitable gift, plus, many giving plans have considerable tax benefits. Discussing your plans and having information on file with the Foundation office will ensure clarity regarding your preferences. We encourage you to visit the Grants area of our website to learn more about some of the projects that have been funded through planned giving.
Leave a legacy in the Marion community by naming the Foundation in your will. Unrestricted gifts of this kind can be adapted to student and district needs over time with guidance from the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Gifts can also be designated to serve a specific program or curriculum area.
