MHS Online Kiosk
Beginning around the year 2000, large photos of Marion High School (MHS) students recognized for athletic and performing arts achievements were hung in the high school cafeteria. Eventually the walls were filled. An idea to move this information to a web-based platform would allow the school to expand the pool of student honorees back to earlier days of MHS. A kiosk in the cafeteria displays the information, but anyone may also access the database from a web browser.
The driving force behind the kiosk project is Mike Manderscheid, MHS Activities Director. Mike was assisted by Steve Roth (MHS 1974). Roth is the author of the MHS Boys Basketball History project, which includes more than 6,500 pages of material covering all seasons and every MHS varsity boys basketball game since 1907.

Established in 1879, the Marion Alumni Association was the first registered alumni association in the state of Iowa. Today the Marion Independent School Foundation and Alumni Association maintains a database that includes records of graduates dating back to the first class in 1872. Our main focus is keeping classmates connected to their friends, school and community.
