“Numbers are my jam and spreadsheets are my thing.”
Angie Buck is the new Administrative Assistant for the Marion Foundation, starting in this role in July 2020. She learned about the opening from a friend who teaches in the district and thought that it would be a good fit for her skills and passions. As the Administrative Assistant Angie handles accounts payable/receivable and works behind the scenes for fundraising for the Marion Foundation. When asked what she likes about this work she mentioned that no two days are the same and that “numbers are my jam and spreadsheets are my thing.”
Angie previously worked as a Workforce Analyst for TransAmerica which consisted of pulling and reviewing sets of data to improve office productivity and efficiency. In addition to her work with TransAmerica, Angie and her mom have run the silent auction fundraiser for the St. Jude’s Sweetcorn Festival for the past 20 plus years. They have grown this program from raising $2,000 in the first year to $25,000 from the most recent event.
Angie and her husband Willy have five daughters ranging in age from 14 to 31, all have attended the Marion Independent School District. They love living in Marion and love the feeling of being part of the MISD community. Welcome to the Marion Foundation, Angie!
