What is The Jacobson Institute?
The Jacobson Institute equips students with innovation and entrepreneurial skills that are critical for young people to have now and for the future. These concepts and 21st Century Skills, like critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability and resiliency, are absolutely vital for students to become future ready.

Who: Student entering grades 5-9 this fall
What: Half-day (3 hour) online sessions filled with fun, interactive activities to build an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset including:
- Playing games
- Developing new “products”
- Producing commercials
- Creating a pitch
- Writing a jingle AND
- Sitting in the investor seat
When: June 21 – June 25, 9am-12pm Central Time OR June 28 – July 2, 1pm-4pm Central Time
Where: Zoom
How much:
- Iowa campers: $100 before April 9th (Pay $125 after April 9th).
- All other campers: $125 before April 9th (Pay $150 after April 9th).
Marion School Foundation Scholarship: We are providing $25 scholarships to every MISD student attending the virtual camp this summer.
Why: Everyone needs something to look forward to doing! Each activity will be engaging and fun – giving children the opportunity to meet new people, make friends and learn to think like an entrepreneur!
