With support from Pearson, the Langdon & Nikki Olson Family and others the Marion Independent School Foundation and Alumni Association provided a new book to every PreK-4th Grade student in our district before spring break. Participating schools included Longfellow Elementary, Starry Elementary and Francis Marion Intermediate. Marion Foundation staff worked closely with teachers and library staff to select books that matched interests and reading levels of students.
The spring break book giveaway was a big hit! This card from a participating family sums up the impact of books.
