3D Printers Support Healthcare Workers

During the Spring 2017 Marion Grants cycle, the Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association funded the purchase of two Makerbot 3D printers for Project Lead the Way classes and programs at Marion High School. Although the 3D printers have been used most frequently by the Robotics Team to build parts for their robots, they are currently being used by MHS teacher Chris Martin to print a part needed to create protective shields for healthcare workers. Martin is doing this in collaboration with the Iowa COVID Rapid Response Network. You can learn more about this network and the role you can play online here.
