Elisabeth Kissling joined the Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association in March 2020 as Alumni Relations Director and was recently named Executive Director in September 2022. Elisabeth is delighted to fulfill the Executive Director role and continue supporting students, staff, and alumni at Marion Independent School District while preserving the rich history of the district.
She has been a proud supporter of the Marion Independent School District for over 14 years and has over 20 years of nonprofit experience including crisis counseling, marketing, and development. Elisabeth has a B.A. in Music and Psychology with a Minor in Philosophy from Coe College, and an M.A. in Education (Counseling) from the University of Iowa. She is a 2013 Corridor Business Journal Forty under 40 honoree, graduate of the Leadership for Five Seasons class of 2017, serves on the Marion Arts Festival board, and is a Marion Ambassador. She is a Master Trainer in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and provides suicide first aid trainings in the community.
Elisabeth lives in Marion with her husband Josh, her teenage son, and their rescue dog Hank. She is passionate about travel, finding a good cup of coffee, and live music.
