Dedicated to lifelong learning, John and Lawrence Giacoletto both achieved great success in their academic and professional careers. The Giacoletto brothers had bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and earned over two dozen patents over the course of their careers. John Giacoletto worked locally for what was then the Collins Radio Company. The Giacoletto Foundation seeks to honor their memory by providing funds to government and not-for-profit organizations which support higher education and lifelong learning.

This summer The Giacoletto Foundation awarded The Marion Foundation a significant grant to purchase equipment needed for years 1 and 2 of the AMPED (Algebra in Manufacturing, Processes, Engineering & Design) and GIC (Geometry in Construction) curriculum program at Marion High School.

AMPED is a math option for freshmen and sophomores that incorporates algebra into business and manufacturing, using real life applications to teach math concepts.

The Marion Foundation is honored to partner with The Giacoletto Foundation and Marion High School, improving educational opportunities for our students.
