Hills Bank Provides Classroom Cash

Hills Bank presented a check to the Foundation on Thursday, May 16th for $1,050.86 that was collected through their Classroom Cash program. Through the Classroom Cash program, Hills Bank customers can designate Marion Independent School District as their district of choice and a percentage of debit card purchases are donated to Marion schools at no cost to the customer. The funds are used to support programs and services that enhance education, including the Marion Grant program that provides teachers an opportunity to apply for funding for projects that benefit their students.

Since the program began in 2004, $15,708.78 has been donated to the Marion Independent School Foundation & Alumni Association. If you already have a Hills Bank debit card, you can help by filling out an easy online application at HillsBank.com/ClassroomCash or by visiting any Hills Bank location. The Classroom Cash donation was in addition to their $5,000 gift toward the Marion High School Auditorium and Les Hipple Athletic Complex renovations, support for the Hearts of Gold anniversary event and many other contributions they have given throughout the Marion Independent School District this school year. Many thanks to Hills Bank for their ongoing support!

Photographed above, Foundation Trustees Mike Cira and Brady Quinn and Director Erin Steffen were on hand to accept the donation from Branch Manager Tim Higginbotham and several 7th Ave Hills Bank staff.
