Holiday Gift Distribution

Holiday Giving Makes a Difference

The Holiday Giving Project has been a MISD tradition since 1994. Celebrating its 26th year of helping Marion families, the project took place in December and allowed participants to “adopt” families in need of financial support.

Due to food drive limitations related to COVID, the Marion Foundation along with District Social Worker Michelle Wilson, solicited and received nearly $4,300 in contributions to provide grocery and gas gift cards to 156 district families. Eagle View Partners, new owners of Marion Square Mall, provided an empty store space allowing the project to organize gifts and to offer safe gift distribution.

We appreciate everyone who helped to make the holidays a little brighter for district families.  Thank you!
