On Friday, October 11, 2019 at a home football game, eight new individuals were inducted into the Marion High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The Athletic Hall of Fame began in 2001 as a way to honor former athletes, coaches, and community members for their achievements and support in Marion’s athletic programs.
During the halftime of the Homecoming game these individuals and their families were called to the track and presented with a plaque commemorating their induction into the Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to this years inductees: Coach Lynn Brown, Athlete Maggie (Murphy) Johnson ’10, Athlete Dalton Combs ’10, Community Member Mike Combs, Athlete Ryan Hubbell ’10, Community Member Don Plond, Athlete Kristina (McCusker) Merritt ’04, and Athlete Neal Sumner ’75.
